New Casino Near Inspirada In Henderson Inching Closer To Reality
Texas Station. Fiesta Rancho. Fiesta Henderson. It almost felt like Station Casinos was cutting its losses and calling it a day. Not quite.
The Henderson City Council meets today to give the go-ahead on an already approved sale of nearly 4 acres of land to Station Casinos near Inspirada at Bicentennial Parkway and Via Inspirada. That land sits next to an existing 45 acres the casino giant owns.
The property sits 3.5 miles away from the nearest major casino, M Resort Spa Casino. The M is set to double its hotel capacity and add a bunch of new restaurants and amenities in the process.
In September, Station Casinos laid out plans for the property with the City Of Henderson. The yet to be named destination would include the 80,000 square feet of casino space, restaurants, a movie theater, bowling alley and more. All surrounding a 600 room hotel. The letter to the city promised the new property would offer a higher end experience. Think more Red Rock and GVR, and less Sunset Station.
Bigger Than Durango
That’s a pretty large hotel! For perspective, Station’s work-in-progress, the $750 million Durango Casino & Resort which is set to open in late 2023 at 215 and South Durango, is only expected to have a 211 room hotel.

If things go according to plan (and according to Station Casinos statement to city officials), construction on the new project would get underway at the start of 2024, which would be just after Durango is finished and open to the public.
There’s more up Station’s sleeve as well. They have large plots of land at 215 and Losee in North Las Vegas, in the Skye Canyon area and at Cactus and Las Vegas Boulevard.
So it looks like Station Casinos wasn’t downsizing… it was upgrading and rearranging. We can’t wait to see what the future of this project looks like.
