A man believed to be performing below-ground maintenance on the hydraulic public urinal is not dead after a freak accident.
The urinals are usually hidden below street level during the day and emerge at night for use. Somehow the man was crushed to death.
Emergency crews responded to reports of injury, with an emergency helicopter landing in the Square for quick transport to the hospital. First responders were unable to save the man.
