A Los Angeles-based artist is on the mend after suffering a bizarre accident that has put her painting career on hold. Carla Negron nearly lost her hand in a freak accident with one of the tools of her trade.
Negron fell and ended up impaling her hand with a paintbrush. The injury became infected, causing her hand to swell up and requiring urgent care. She has already undergone two emergency surgeries to repair damage. You can see pictures of the injury below.
Negron has been sharing updates and photos online from the hospital. She has a long road to recovery and is hoping to raise $10K to help cover her living expenses during recovery. You can find info on her GoFundMe at the link below.
