The capital city of Saskatchewan, Canada is Regina. (Rhymes with "vagina.") And the tourism board just had to apologize after leaning into the obvious joke people make.
They launched a new ad campaign last week with two slogans that aren't subtle at all: "Show Us Your Regina" . . . and Regina, "The City That Rhymes with Fun."
Tourism Regina rebranded to Experience Regina last week. Part of this rebranding was the launch of these two slogans that they are now apologizing for.
The mayor of Regina is expected to speak more on the rebranding and apology later this week.
