A 23-year-old man is recovering after he was bitten by an alligator near a pond behind a bar in Port Charlotte, Florida.
The victim had to be airlifted to a hospital with significant injuries and will lose his arm. According to reports, a regular to the Bandito's Bar claims to have seen an alligator in the back pond for over 20 years. Also stating that it was a pretty regular sight to see patrons of the bar feeding the gator.
Not many details are being released on why the guy was near the pond at night or what exactly happened. It looks like he may have fallen in to the pond or went for a swim?
Trappers worked hard through the next day to finally catch the 10 foot gator.
