Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk Will Fight In A Cage Match
Facebook (or Meta) vs. Twitter, it’s the main event we’ve all been waiting for. And yes, it’s true: Mark Zuckerberg agreed to fight Elon Musk in a cage match earlier this week.
But why? Well, technically, Musk pushed first. CBS explained how the Telsa billionaire was simply responding to a tweet that addressed Meta’s idea of creating a rival platform to Twitter. In the tweet, Musk simply writes, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.”
Shortly after, Zuckerberg posted a response to his Instagram story. It was just three words, but packed a heavy punch saying, “Send Me Location.”
Social Media Showdown
Though it is still to be determined whether or not this banter is to be taken seriously, Musk has continued the dialog. When a “Telsa and SpaceX inspired” artist shared Zuckerberg’s response with Musk, he took it a step further by saying, If this is for real, I will do it 🔥🔥
The Verge reported that Zuckerberg’s response on Instagram was not a joke. Musk, of course, had thought on that, with a tweet suggesting the battle take place at the Vegas Octagon.
What If This Actually Does Happen?
An on-going challenge to social media is that it allows for bickering from behind a device. Users don’t typically expect the difference of opinions to lead to a potential pay-per-view event, but here we are, with their respective leaders using their platforms to flirt with the idea.
Nonetheless, if this throw-down were to go down, here are some credentials you would find in the program.
In the light blue corner, Musk stands six foot one. And in the royal blue corner, Zuckerberg lists at five foot seven, allegedly. Musk may have the size advantage, but Zuckerberg has jiu-jitsu skills. As The Verge pointed out, he’s even flaunted a few medals as of late.
Time will tell if Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg actually fight in a cage match. If they do, what happens to the social platform on the losing side of the final bell?
