What Was An 82-Year-Old Man Showing People To Hold Up Traffic In NYC?
An 82-year-old in New York shut down traffic so he could share his hobby with the neighborhood.
According to this report, Joe Delfausse went viral on Tuesday after he set his telescope up in the middle of a street in Brooklyn. He did it just so random hipsters could take a look at Saturn.
This time a large group of people gathered in the middle of Ninth Avenue in Brooklyn to peer into his telescope. There’s a video with around 30 people lined up. So yeah, space is still cool.

Most traffic just worked their way around the stargazers while others yelled at them to get out of the street.
Delfausse who is a former math and computer science teacher wasn’t always interested in astronomy. He got into it back in 1995 after a stranger invited him to a stargazing event and he was hooked.
Delfausse also says he wants to do something meaningful with his life and he feels like sharing the stars and Saturn is the most meaningful thing he can think of.
