A Bavarian Prince Is Very Upset Over Boob-Exposing Oktoberfest Wear
When you think of Oktoberfest, you think of two things…beer…and women dressed in costumes that accentuate their boobs.
Well, that would be three things, wouldn’t it? The Prince of Bavaria is now taking issue with this.
According to reports, Luitpold Rupprect Heinrich, whose great-grandfather was the last Bavarian King, says these “cheaply made costumes” from China he feels is degrading the “cultural value of Oktoberfest” and transform it into “a carnival.”
Heinrich is a traditionalist and is all for the traditional lederhosen and dirndls worn by men and women during the celebration. ‘Dirndls’ are the traditional dresses women wear that consist of a low-necklined bodice, a blouse, and a high-waisted skirt.
Traditionalists have argued that in recent years, the meaning behind Oktoberfest, is now less of a celebration of Bavarian culture, and more of a celebration for people to just drink huge quantities of beer and dress up in cheap sexy dresses.
