James Bond is a beloved character that’s been known for generations. He’s a secret agent that works for MI6 and gets involved in dangerous missions around the world. Bond is a well-spoken playboy that can handle himself in a fight. Whether it's with guns, fists, or any weapon at hand, Bond is a force to be reckoned with. But, he’s not just brawn; he's also brainy. He can think quickly under pressure and now a new Prime series will put everyday people in his shoes.

The Premise

007: Road To A Million is set to premiere on Nov. 10. Nine teams of two people will be embarking on an adventure to try and win £1,000,000. Contestants will have to complete challenges that have been inspired by the James Bond movies. Also, they'll be traveling to beautiful and breathtaking places like Scotland, Venice, and the Swiss Alps.

Furthermore, the host will be world-renowned actor Brian Cox, who played Hannibal Lecter in Manhunter and also Logan Roy in Succession. He'll be playing the role of The Controller, who will make the game a bit tougher for the contestants. He really doesn't like giving money away.

Spytacular Facts

Firstly, the story of James Bond spans 7 decades and was created by Ian Fleming in the 1953 novel Casino Royale. The very first actor to portray Bond was Sean Connery in the film Dr. No (1962), with Daniel Craig playing the most recent iteration. While Bond is best known for driving an Aston Martin, he's driven more than 30 different types of vehicles in the films. This includes a tank in the film "Goldeneye." And lastly, the '00' in 007 signifies that Bond has a license to kill.
