TV’s ‘Top Chef Masters’ Open BBQ Mexicana Restaurant In Southwest Las Vegas

Two accomplished restauranteurs are bringing their acclaimed fare to Southwest Las Vegas. Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken are veterans of the television cooking competition Top Chef Masters on Bravo….

Photo of he BBQ Mexicana "Brisket Lover Bowl." Photo shows chunks of smoked brisket in the middle of an oblong, white, low-rimmed bowl. Surrounding the brisket, going counter-clockwise around the bowl starting at the bottom is Mexican slaw, two lime wedges, a bean salad, white rice topped with colorful chopped peppers and sliced Mexican radishes, a spoonful of guacamole, and a vegetable medley topped with white cheese crumbles. There is a silver fork placed inside the bowl on the left side of the dish. To the left of the bowl is a refreshing green drink in a mason jar. A lime wedge has been set on the rim of the mason jar. The wooden table on which the bowl and mason jar have been set appears to be very old gray wood with peeling white paint.

Now, you’re invited to enjoy a delicious meal (or more) at the new BBQ Mexicana on Sunset Road.

Celebrity Chefs Open BBQ Mexicana Restaurant For Locals

Anyone who has lived in Las Vegas for any length of time knows this city has undergone a huge transformation in the past three decades. In fact, this is especially true for food lovers. Our city used to be filled with delicious, but inexpensive, buffets in each hotel-casino. Now, there are so many television chefs opening high-end restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip, most Southern Nevadans can’t afford to dine there. Furthermore, very few of those celebrity chefs have made their fare available to us outside of hotels and casinos.

Now, Feniger and Milliken have opened BBQ Mexicana on Sunset. As a matter of fact, their newest restaurant in the Las Vegas valley opened on Monday, March 4th. Here’s an exterior photo of their newest location.

Daytime photo of the exterior of the new BBQ Mexicana restaurant on Sunset Road near Durango in Southwest Las Vegas. The sign above their strip mall location reads "BBQ Mexicana" in light blue, Mexican-style script. To the right of their restaurant name in black letters the sign reads "Burritos, Tacos, Bowls, Salads." There are tinted glass windows on the facade of the restaurant. A tinted glass entrance door shows the suite number 200 above the door. The parking space in the photo shows a handicapped parking sign at the head of the space. To the right of the location is a stone facade and low wall. To the left of the location is a median with a tree and various green leafy plants. It is a sunny day with no clouds in the photo.

You can visit BBQ Mexicana at 8480 West Sunset Road, Suite 200, Las Vegas, 89113, near the intersection of Sunset and Durango. Feniger and Milliken are bringing their first drive-thru and quick-service restaurant to a location outside of hotels, casinos, stadiums, or arenas. You may remember dining at one of their other locations at Allegiant Stadium, T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas Ballpark, or Mandalay Bay.

Without a doubt, the BBQ Mexicana on Sunset menu looks delicious. Of course, everything is fresh and made from scratch. Feniger and Milliken insist on using seasonable, sustainable, and organic ingredients.

Perusing their menu on BBQMexicana.com certainly makes my mouth water. How will we choose from the delicious-sounding burritos, tacos, bowls, and salads? Not to mention their famous pulled pork, avocado chicken, smoked brisket, and smoked tofu. Additionally, you’ll want to bring the kids to taste-test their excellent children’s menu.

Finally, some celebrity chefs are giving us locals a chance to taste their award-winning dishes. I can’t wait! Now, feel free to scroll down for more content which you may enjoy.
