Are Little Caesars' Crazy Puffs Worth The Hype?

So Little Caesars has come out with a new item that's been making waves among the pizza scene. Their new "Crazy Puffs" have garnered quite the popularity. It could be said that the puffs rival the popularity of Popeyes spicy chicken sandwiches when they first released, which caused insanely long wait times at most locations. In this simple review we plan to look at the ins-and-outs of the puffs, from its ingredients, price, calories, and our thoughts on the taste, textures and overall hype.

The Cheesy Construction

According to Little Caesars' website, the Crazy Puffs are made with: a hand-held pizza crust cup, filled with mozzarella, pepperoni, pizza sauce, and topped with a buttery garlic flavored drizzle, and Italian herb and seasoning. You can purchase a set of four Pepperoni Crazy Puffs (690 calories) or four Cheese Crazy Puffs (610 calories) for the pretty low cost of $3.99 and they'll come packaged in their own Crazy Puffs box.

Crazy Puffs Thoughts And Feelings

After eating the pepperoni and cheese crazy puffs on several occasions, its become very apparent why they've become so well received. The puffs can be eaten as a snack or full meal and they come at a very reasonable price. All-in-all, they're pizza cups with an extra punch. If you're already a fan of Little Caesars' pizzas, then these will be right up your alley. You get all of your favorite pizza flavors with the pleasant addition of the garlic butter and herbs. Even though the butter a little messy, it's a very welcome addition to the flavor profile. Although, one is possible inconsistencies with the baking process. We've received some puffs with slightly charred cheese from being overbaked and also some with unmelted cheese on the inside.

Final Thoughts

Overall, given their low price point, low calories per puff, and good taste and textures, Little Caesars' Crazy Puffs are a very welcome addition to the menu and will hopefully be a permanent item. As a rating, the Crazy Puffs get an 8.5 out of 10. We hope that Little Caesars will continue experimenting with new items and innovations. This one's a keeper, but can they keep the hits coming?
