Airbnb offers all kinds of vacation rentals for people to stay in. Some are your typical stays, while others offer a more unique experience. The company has included stays to their offerings, including DJ Khaled's sneaker closet, Shrek's Swamp, Barbie's Malibu Dreamhouse, and Ted Lasso's favorite pub.

Now Airbnb has announced its summer 2024 Icons Program. According to the company, it's a new category of "extraordinary experiences" hosted by the "greatest names" in film, television, music, sports, and more. "Icons let you step into worlds you’ve only ever dreamed of. Drift off in the Up house. Spend the night in the Ferrari Museum. Hang out with Kevin Hart," they said.

More About Airbnb's Icons Program

The company unveiled the first 11 Icons, with new experiences dropping around the world throughout the year. One of the standout experiences is staying in the Up house from the Disney/Pixar film, located in Abiquiu, New Mexico with more than 8,000 balloons. According to Attractions Magazine, the house floats. It's worth mentioning that they don’t lift the house with people inside but it’s probably still cool to see.

Another standout experience includes staying at the X-Men Mansion. Guests can live like the X-Men by staying in a 2D animated recreation of Marvel Animation's X-Men Mansion in Westchester, New York. "Have a totally ‘90s sleepover. Stay in one of our dorms," said the stay's description. It can house up to 8 guests with 4 bedrooms, 5 beds, and 2.5 baths.

The other standout experiences include a night at the Ferrari Museum, joining Kevin Hart for a VIP evening at Coramino Live Lounge, staying in the famous clock room at Paris’ Musée d’Orsay, a special living room performance from Doja Cat, a stay at Prince’s Purple Rain house, an overnight gaming experience with Khaby Lame in Milan, go on tour with Feid for a week, a personally hosted stay at Janhvi Kapoor's family home and a stay at headquarters from Inside Out 2 with Joy.

How Much Does It Cost?

The Icons experience seems to be priced under $100 per guest, but most are free of charge. With 4,000 available tickets, interested parties can request to book through the Airbnb app with selected guests receiving a digital golden ticket.

"Icons take you inside worlds that only existed in your imagination—until now," said Brian Chesky, Airbnb co-founder and CEO. "As life becomes increasingly digital, we're focused on bringing more magic into the real world. With Icons, we've created the most extraordinary experiences on Earth."
