A new northwest Las Vegas master-planned community is in the works. The company responsible for building popular communities such as Southern Highlands and Skye Canyon has big plans for BLM land they recently purchased for $55 million dollars.

A New Northwest Las Vegas Master-Planned Community In The Works

Olympia Companies were the only bidders on 505 acres of desert land recently sold at auction by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The land is located in northwest Las Vegas, north of Lone Mountain, and west of the 215 Beltway. It’s a few miles west of Centennial Hills Hospital.

According to an article by Patrick Blennerhassett on ReviewJournal.com, Olympia Companies is planning to build approximately 3,000 homes on this land. Of course, there will also be some commercial projects to go along with all those new homes.

In addition, they’re partnering with the city of Las Vegas and the BLM to build a series of connecting trails and parks. They want their new northwest Las Vegas master-planned community to blend in with the surrounding environment and the nearby Red Rock Canyon Natural Conservation Area.

Northwest Las Vegas Master-Planned Community To Offer Broad Range Of Homes

As you know, the population of Las Vegas continues to grow. Housing and rental prices have skyrocketed in Southern Nevada. So, this northwest Las Vegas master-planned community will be a welcome addition to help alleviate the housing crunch in the valley.

According to Blennerhassett’s article, Olympia Companies plans to build homes of various sizes and prices to accommodate our city’s growth. In fact, the company’s Executive Vice President, Chris Armstrong, is quoted in the ReviewJournal.com post as saying their new project “will include a broad product segmentation including entry level, first move up to executive level homes.”

Blennerhassett goes on to report that construction on this northwest Las Vegas master-planned community should begin before the end of 2026 and should be completed sometime in 2034-2035.
