Who wants a bucket of chicken fingers? Well you can get a huge one right here in Las Vegas, very soon.

Out of Jasper, Alabama, Guthrie’s Chicken Fingers is returning to Las Vegas, after a 10 year absence. They are supposed to open a store in North Las Vegas this month.

Guthrie's Chicken Fingers Are Heading To Las Vegas

Guthrie’s calls itself "America's Original Chicken Finger Restaurant." Their menu is very simple: Chicken Fingers. You can get bucket of fried chicken fingers, or a box, or snack of chicken fingers. French fries, Texas toast, and coleslaw. Or a whole family meal with a gallon of sweet tea - standard beverage in the south.

Guthrie’s had a very short-lived location on West Cheyenne for about a year in 2013.

In September 2023, What Now Las Vegas reported that the chain was planning a new location in Las Vegas. It will be located at 3255 Simmons Street, in North Las Vegas. Because, eventually, everything makes its way to Las Vegas.

Guthrie's Chicken Fingers 'Gut Box' Is A Hit

Hal Guthrie opened a drive-in restaurant in Haleyville, Alabama, in 1965. Over a decade later, he decided to serve chicken fingers. He wanted to have the best dipping sauce available to go with his chicken fingers. So he asked his three of his children to have a contest to see who could come up with the best sauce.

After Hal renovated an existing building, he realized that some items would have to go, because the building was very small. They also used to serve hamburgers, steak sandwiches and chicken fingers, but because of the space, the the hamburgers and steak sandwiches were taken off the menu. And they stuck with what has made them *now* famous - chicken fingers!

Guthrie's became a hit with college students. So now the whole Guthrie family was opening new locations - in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. And the "Gut Box" became a favorite: Fried chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast, coleslaw - and the best dipping sauce ever.

Welcome to Las Vegas, Guthrie's. Gut Boxes all around!
