Four Queens Hotel And Casino Getting $24 Million Dollar Renovation

The Four Queens Hotel and Casino is putting a huge amount of money into gutting and totally renovating their North Tower. That’s according to an article by Sean Hemmersmeier on ReviewJournal.com.

The 400 rooms in the South Tower of the Four Queens have been renovated in recent years. Now it’s time for the North Tower to receive improvements to the plumbing and HVAC systems. After all, this tower was built back in 1966. It’s almost sixty years old. However, it should also be noted that this tower did receive major renovations in the late 1990’s.

Additionally, Hemmersmeier’s article quotes Four Queens General Manager Tim Lager as saying those 300 rooms in the North Tower will also be getting new closet organizers, new furniture, bigger bathrooms, and new carpeting.

The ReviewJournal.com post also notes that customers have complained about the noise from Fremont Street concerts and festivals. So, the Four Queens will also be adding sound-dampening features to their windows.

Downtown Grand Hotel And Casino Owners Looking For Buyers

Meanwhile, the casino and hotel which opened in 2013 on the site where the Lady Luck once stood, is now up for sale.

The owners of the Downtown Grand Hotel and Casino, CIM Group, are looking for buyers. That’s according to an article by McKenna Ross on ReviewJournal.com. Per Ross’s post, this real estate investment group purchased the property in 2007 and put over $200 million dollars into its renovations.

Then, in 2020, they added a third tower to the Downtown Grand, giving it a total of 1,124 rooms. It is now one of the largest hotels in Downtown Las Vegas.

According to the ReviewJournal.com story, there’s no information available yet about a listing price for the Downtown Grand Hotel and Casino, but I’ll bet the price will be huge.
