Most Popular Jerseys: Vegas Golden Knights Make Top 10 In NHL

Not only are Vegas Golden Knights jerseys the most popular jerseys of all five major sports here in Nevada, but our home team’s NHL uniforms also make the top 10 in the U.S.A.

The VGK rank tenth in a recent survey of NHL team jerseys performed by t-shirt wholesalers ShirtMax. In my humble opinion, that’s pretty impressive, considering all the huge metropolitan areas in the nation which are home to NHL teams.

As you might expect, much larger cities like Chicago (#2), Boston (#3), Dallas (#4), and Los Angeles (#5), beat out Las Vegas in the rankings. However, the big surprise is that the NHL’s newest addition, the Seattle Kraken, takes the top spot for most popular jersey.

I must admit, their uniforms are pretty cool. Of course, this ShirtMax study doesn’t actually include sales figures. Instead, they take into account data from internet searches using words and phrases which include “jersey” between June 2023 and May 2024.

Raiders Nation makes a good showing in the ShirtMax study when it comes to the National Football League. The Las Vegas Raiders have the seventh most popular jerseys in America.

In fact, NFL jerseys reign supreme when it comes to the five major leagues in the U.S.A. The ShirtMax survey studied internet search data for the NFL, NBA (National Basketball Association), MLB (Major League Baseball), NHL (National Hockey League), and MLS (Major League Soccer).

The absolute most popular jersey in the U.S.A. belongs to the San Francisco 49’ers. That’s right, the most popular in the NFL and when it comes to all five major leagues.

In baseball, the Los Angeles Dodgers take the top spot. As I’ve already mentioned, Seattle ranks number one in the NHL. In the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers claim the top ranking. Finally, in the MLS, LA Galaxy earns the title.
