Flu season can be a rough time, but I like to keep my family healthy by taking a daily dose of Vitamin D3, Vitamin C, and Zinc. There is no time during the fall season to be sick. Especially because towards the end of the year the year flies by so fast and nobody wants to be sick during the holidays. Here’s why these three are my go-to vitamins:

Vitamin D3 - helps boost our immune system. Since we don't get as much sun exposure during colder months, taking D3 supplements ensures we maintain healthy levels to fight off germs.

Vitamin C -  is a classic immune booster that supports white blood cells, helping us fight infections like the cold and flu. It’s also great for skin health, which is a bonus!

Zinc - plays a key role in our body’s immune defense. It helps reduce the duration and severity of colds, which is why I make sure to get it daily.

The good thing about these vitamins is you can actually take all three of them on an empty stomach. I know it's hard for some people to eat breakfast in the morning before they take their vitamins. Stay young and healthy!

By sticking to this easy and fairly inexpensive regimen, I feel confident that we’re staying strong and protected all flu season long. We have a very busy family and a very busy lifestyle, especially during flu season with our high school football player and a little in kindergarten. It is huge that we stay healthy and not have to miss any days, practices, school, or work. Life is just too dang busy to be sick.

Try this regimen for yourself during this year's flu season. Thank me later when you last all year without the nasty flu. Happy almost fall here in Las Vegas and let's stay healthy.
