It was a marvelous day at Big Dog’s Brewing Company‘s annual Dogtoberfest!
Every year, Big Dog’s Brewing Company organizes this amazing event that sews together the traditions of Oktoberfest with the midwestern charm of “Wisconsin cookouts” and other fun events like a dog and human costume contest.
Carlota broadcasted live from Dogtoberfest, and we had a blast. What’s better than hanging out with listeners while sipping on some craft beer?
We learned so much about the different types of beets and the beer-making process. The craftsmanship that the brewing team implements into each bath of beer is remarkable.
The notes of beers can vary from being “woody” to “fruity” and even spicy! We tried Big Dog’s “cool as a cucumber” beer, which is a cucumber-lime lager. It was refreshing and tasted crisp with snappy solar and fruity notes. It was delicious.
Big Dog’s most signature brews include Red Hydrant Brown Ale, Las Vegas Crat Lager, Leglifter Light, Tailwager Wheat and more. Throughout the year, the brew masters pepper in other fun brews like a Belgian Blonde with strawberries infused. And let’s not forget the raspberry sour ale, tangerine IPA and English pale ale that are all amazing, creative and so different compared to other brews available on the market.
Dogtoberfest was a blast! We snacked on fresh-made pretzels served with a craft beer cheese dip. Rich and delicious German cuisine like brats topped with tangy sauerkraut and pork shoulder loins were also available.
Jade also collaborated with Big Dog’s, handing out custom and exclusive IPA glasses with a special engraving.
Local music filled the air with groups of people all sitting around picnic tables, chowing down on some good food while guzzling down some great beer.
