Stevie Nicks caused quite the commotion on social media when she wished Dolly Parton a happy birthday yesterday (January 19.)

Nicks shared a photo of her and Parton sitting at a large mixing board in a recording studio. All you can see of the two Rock and Roll Hall of Famers are the backs of their blonde heads of hair. Nicks captioned the photo, "Happy birthday to my new friend, Dolly! Had so much fun singing with you!"

The comment section blew up with fans sharing their adoration for the photo. One fan commented simply, "My moms [crying emoji.]" Another fan wrote, "This is the hair I aspire to." Perhaps the funniest comment was, "Pissing my f---ing pants. Best collab since Mary and the immaculate conception."

Needless to say, many are looking forward to Nicks and Parton's collaboration, which is going to be featured on Parton's upcoming rock album. As previously reported, Parton shared during an appearance on The View this week that Nicks was among the many high-profile names guesting on her new album. Aptly titled Rock Star, the album is currently slated for release in Fall 2023. In addition to Nicks, other guests featuring on the LP include Paul McCartney, John Fogerty, Steve Perry and Steven Tyler.

Stevie Nicks is the first woman (and thankfully, not the last) woman to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice: as a member of Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist. As her solo debut, Bella Donna, turns 40 we looked back on her entire career to rank her 50 best songs (40 would have made sense, but it was too hard to cut it off there). We included solo and Fleetwood Mac songs, as well as her pre-Mac band Buckingham/Nicks and a few of her other collaborations.

Of course, we're ready to update this list when she releases new music! But for now, here's our favorite 50.

Erica Banas is a news blogger who's been covering the rock/classic rock world since 2014. The coolest event she's ever covered in person was the 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. (Sir Paul McCartney inducting Foo Fighters? C'mon now!) She's also well-versed in etiquette and extraordinarily nice. #TransRightsAreHumanRights
