Power Trip is officially in the books, and the reports indicate the three-day event was a big success. Understandably, the social media feeds of the bands on the bill were filled with posts from Power Trip. However, there's one post that stands out from the rest for being equal parts badass and wholesome.

Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett shared a photo of himself and James Hetfield taking in Judas Priest's set. They appear to be standing in the area between the stage and the fan barricade, and they're clearly having a blast. The photo was taken by Ross Halfin, who has photographed Metallica for years. Hammett included a caption with the photo simply stating, "Paying tribute to the Metal Gods."

As previously reported, Metallica closed out Power Trip on Sunday night. The band's setlist had few deep cuts, unlike the setlists on Metallica's current world tour. However, in the middle of all of the major hits and fan favorites, Metallica had two songs from their latest album, 72 Seasons: "Lux Æterna" and "Too Far Gone?"

The set also featured Hammett flubbing the intro to "Nothing Else Matters," which he went viral for back in May 2022 at Boston Calling and on the opening night of Metallica's North American leg of their current tour. If anything, it just shows that even rock stars can still make mistakes, even when it comes to songs that are over 30 years old. Honestly, we don't know which makes Hammett more relatable: This flub or the picture of him rocking out to Priest's set.

Kirk Hammett celebrates his birthday on November 18. While his work in Metallica has been celebrated for years, there's another aspect of his playing that also should be recognized: His "Guitar Face."

You know, all of those weird facial expressions guitarists tend to make when they're performing and are just feeling it. Some examples of "guitar face" are rather strange, but Hammett's "guitar face" somehow is like an effortless cool.

Want proof? Here are just ten examples of Hammett's variations of "guitar face."
