Paws in the Park is Las Vegas’ best annual pet event happening Nov. 9 at Desert Breeze Park from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Explore Adoption Row to meet amazing pets from local shelters and rescues—each one ready to bring love and joy to a new family. Whether you’re looking to adopt or simply want to support, there’s something for everyone! Discover vendor booths, enjoy fun activities, and learn about ways to make a difference in the lives of these animals.

Important Things To Remember If You’re Adopting

Ensure to bring a valid photo ID. You will also need to be at least 18 years old, though some may set the minimum age at 21. Be prepared with basic supplies like food, water bowls, bedding, and a crate or litter box to make the transition smoother.

There will be microchipping and a vaccine bus available during Paws in the Park as well. There may be a brief interview or a questionnaire as well during the adoption process.

  1. Seek professional help: If you feel your grief is overwhelming and that you can’t do it by yourself, it’s best to seek professional help. There are people who specialize in helping people grieve. 
  1. Remember the good times: It might be difficult to do this now, but remembering all the good memories with your pet can help you see that they have lived a good life, albeit short. 
  1. Create a memorial: Consider creating a small memorial for your pet. Remembering and honoring their memory can provide comfort whenever you reminisce about your times together.
