Sammy Hagar Announces Nine-Show Las Vegas Residency With All-Star Band for 2025
The Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar, is heading to Dolby Live at Park MGM next spring.
His nine-show run goes from April 30 to May 17, 2025, with an incredible band featuring Michael Anthony on bass, Joe Satriani shredding guitar, and Kenny Aronoff crushing the drums. The 5,200-seat theater, backed by Live Nation and MGM Resorts International, gives the guys a home base to nail their sound. No more touring hassles—just pure rock in one spot.
This dream team combines Anthony’s signature bass with Satriani’s guitar wizardry for a mix of fan favorites and fresh material. “I’m so looking forward to this residency and being able to stay in one place so we can get the sound and production completely dialed in,” said Hagar to Blabbermouth.
At 77, Hagar keeps rocking hard. He’s about to drop his new single, “Thank You,” a song he wrote with Satriani to honor Eddie Van Halen. The shows will be packed with Van Halen hits like “Best of Both Worlds” and “Right Now.” Fans can expect tunes from Hagar’s solo career, Montrose era, and Chickenfoot days.
Every show brings something different. The band plans to mix up the setlist throughout the run, making each night special for fans who come back for consecutive shows. Hagar plans to focus on creating a positive experience for fans, and attendees can expect to enjoy his humor and appealing stage presence at every show, Red Rocker states.
Wolfgang Van Halen might even pop in to jam. Hagar says that when he sees Eddie’s son, he gets “goosebumps”—showing how much the connection means.
