It’s almost the end of summer, which means it’s nearly back-to-school time!
For four years in a row, Richard Harris Law Firm has given away 50,000 backpacks full of school supplies to local students. What started as a local community event has spread across the state, helping thousands of families and alleviating the financial burden of back-to-school shopping.
“I continue to be thankful that we’re able to help so many in the community,” said Richard Harris, Founder of the Richard Harris Law Firm. “My incredible team and I are excited to continue our Project Backpack initiative. Our goal is for every student in need to receive a backpack full of school supplies, and we look forward to the smiles and the lasting impact this initiative will have on the kids and families of our communities.”
For the fourth year of Project Backpack, the Richard Harris Law Firm will continue to supply backpacks and school supplies to students throughout the entire State. Project Backpack started in Las Vegas as a Southern Nevada initiative, but expanded to be of service to the entire State in 2023. In Reno, every school’s class will receive a backpack with supplies. Additionally, Schnitzer Properties has donated warehouse space to aid in the assembly and distribution of the backpacks.
The firm will hold an open pick-up event at their offices in Las Vegas and Reno.
LAS VEGAS EVENT DETAILS
The Las Vegas event will be held in the parking lot of Ticket Busters and The Defenders, 830 S. 4th St., Las Vegas, NV 89101, on Saturday, July 27, from 9:00 a.m. – noon, while supplies last. Chance, the mascot of the Vegas Golden Knights, will appear at the Las Vegas distribution event from 9:00–10:00 a.m.
RENO EVENT DETAILS
The Reno event will be held at the Richard Harris Law Firm parking lot, 6900 S. McCarran Blvd., Reno, NV 89509, on Saturday, August 3rd, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, while supplies last.
