Xtreme Radio is back, baby! We celebrated at our RessurXtion Party, which was a night dedicated to all of the Xtreme radio family members, the misfits and the lovers of mayhem.
Carlota, Pauly and Hammer (well his head, at least) hosted the night of music and celebration at Fremont Country Club, located in the DNA of Downtown Las Vegas on Fremont Street.
This night represented the survival of radio. It represented the grind and hustle of everyday life. We are so happy to have celebrated this revival of bringing extreme music BACK to the airwaves.
X 107.5’s ResurrXtion Party Highlights Local Music
The best part about our RessurXtion Party? We dedicated the lineup to Las Vegas locals. We believe it’s imperative that we support our local bands and artists.
The night started off with The Guilty Party, getting it hot and energized in the room. The crowd jumped and danced with the band’s punchy lyrics and strong guitar riffs.
VAMPIRES EVERYWHERE! performed right after The Guilty Party. They brought metalcore to the room. The red light and smoky haze made the room transformed the ambiance, giving a slightly eerie and powerful vibe from the band.
One of the best part of the performance was the band’s cover of “Teenage Dream.” They changed the song to a metal version, giving the pop song an edge and beautiful vocal fry.
Nocturnal Affair, another well-loved band form the X files, performed second to last. The audience absorbed the live music from Nocturnal Affair even starting a mosh pit in the middle of the pit.
Lead singer of Nocturna Affair Brendan Shane said, “We usually play at places where people drink liquor and sitdown.” He was pleasantly surprised to see our X crowd moshing, dancing and headbanging to his music.
EKOH Brings It Home With Iconic Performance
The last performance of the night was headliner Ekoh.
Ekoh is a Las Vegas-born-and-bred singer, songwriter and rapper. He’s pushing the boundaries of alternative rap, creating his sound and syncopated raping style that’s hard to compare.
People raised their hands as Ekoh performed his first song. The audience members adorned EKOH hats and many were singing his songs word-for-word.
People threw shoes on the stage during one of the last songs of the night. As people threw shoes, Ekoh started signing the shoes that were thrown. He even ended up giving a pair of his special Ekoh x Vans — unworn of course– to a fan.
Thank you to Fremont Country Club for allowing our misfit station to throw an epic party at the venue. The people at Fremont Country Club are truly the best.
It was a beautiful night of reunion. We’re so happy that everyone attended and celebrated the resurrXtion of Xtreme Radio back to Las Vegas’ airwaves. We’re here to stay, celebrate and connect with you guys.
