The #1 destination spot for Labor Day weekend is no other but: Viva Las Vegas!
According to a recent survey by Tripadvisor.com, people flock from all over the country to celebrate the fall season in Las Vegas. The other top travel destinations for this fall include New York City, Orlando, Florida; Honolulu; Lahina, Hawaii; Key West, Florida; Nashville, Tennessee; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; New Orleans and Miami.
Despite inflation, rising fuel cost and airline staffing shortages, Traveladvisor’s fall index states that six out of every ten survey respondents say they’re planning a fall vacation this year, “even if how they travel might change.”
The survey also said the overall demand for travel had increased. One theory suggests that several years of pandemic restrictions have contribute to this increase in demand.
Although we’re traveling more in comparison to other years, the way we travel has altered. Traveladvisor‘s data states that people will travel for shorter periods of time or will travel to a place closer to home.
For Vegas locals, many of us may be working. Holiday weekends are definitely prime money-making time for the hospitality industry, and increased tourism is always music to any tourism and service-based industry.
So, although Labor Day may not mean much to Las Vegans who work in the gaming, hotel and service industry, we still want to make sure that your hard work and contributions to our city’s economy is properly accounted for! So thank you for everything that you do.
Throughout this weekend, there will be fun events going on in Las Vegas that will be the perfect gift to yourself.
Here are some fun ways that can either have you partying or relaxing for this upcoming long weekend in the entertainment capital of the world. Of course, we wanted to give an array of options for our hard-working listeners. We hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday!
