Tequila comes in many forms. Anejo, Silver and Repasado are the most common. You should know your tequilas if you want to be an awesome party guest.

Man, do I love a good party! Whether it be a BBQ with old friends, or a rager at a club doing the bump and grind with my “new friends.” Parties are just my thing. And if you’re headed to a get together soon, you really should know the best tequilas to bring to a party.

Why You Should Know The Best Tequilas To Bring To A Party

My favorite kind of party is a fiesta filled with good people, great food, and even better tequila. Why tequila? Well, for one, that magical agave liquid inspires those good people to drunk dance. Which, next foot ball, is one of the best sports to watch. Most importantly, tequila is many people’s favorite spirit. Because of it’s unique flavor and it’s versatility.

Think about it, margaritas are one of the most popular drinks around. In fact, according to vinepair.com, margaritas are the most ordered drinks in the United States. And when people are saying “shots shots shots!”, what spirit are they usually talking about? You know the answer.

And it doesn’t matter what time of year it is. Cinco De Mayo, Fourth of July, Groundhog Day, people are always down for a good tequila. I’m a huge tequila fan. I’d put tequila in everything if I could. Including my editor’s coffee. He needs to chill!

I am not a shy person, but when I imbibe that tasty lil agave plant, I become a cross between Freddie Mercury, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus on a wrecking ball. And when I hit a party, I dress for the occasion. No, I don’t wear fancy clothes. I wear get ready for anything clothes: a good pair of jeans, a t-shirt I don’t care about and, of course, comfortable shoes, preferably slip-ons.  I’m not Cinderella. I’m down for losing a shoe. That means I had a good time.

The 5 Best Tequilas To Bring To A Party

The best house guests bring the gift of tequila to every party they’re invited to. And when I’m that house guest, these are my top five favorite tequilas. You can find all of them here in Vegas for your next fiesta.

  • Mijenta Repasado

Mijenta is apparently so good, that the makers won “Outstanding Spirits Producer” and “Agave Producer Of The Year” trophies at the IWSC awards last year (mijenta-tequila.com).

Well, nothing I love more than an award-winning Reposado. Especially one that looks like I can drink it on St Patrick’s day AND Cinco De Mayo and not be judged. I mean look at the gorgeous green label. It feels so upper-class, yet so trashy. I’m in. Besides, this tequila has a hint of butter and honey. I’m always down for a tequila that I can sip while eating pancakes.

You can find Mijenta Repasado at Total Wine and More. You will be the hit of the party if you bring this stuff around.

  • Kah Extra Anejo Limited Edition Tequila

Oh wow, look at this bottle. I love pretty tequila bottles, but I love what’s inside more. Truly, there’s nothing better than a fun, colorful tequila. Besides, you look all fancy when you walk into a party with a fancy bottle of tequila. No matter what you paid. You can find this gem at a Vons in Henderson, of all places. It’s looks a lot more expensive than it is, and nobody at the party has to know.

  • DeLeon Anejo

I used to have a few bottles of this tequila in my home. But to be transparent, I drank it all. And you know what? I’d down another bottle of this because DeLeon Tequila is a super bougie tequila, and I like having my way with anything uppity. But the best part of this “classy” tequila is it makes you wanna dance. What better thing to bring to a party?

This is a great tequila for those who like a little hint of sweetness. It’s aroma and taste both have hints of caramel and vanilla.

A trip to Liquor World is all you need to land this class act.

    DeLeón Tequila: Anejo Tequila

DeLeón Añejo is aged first in American oak allowing the liquid to mellow and soften over time, picking up caramel, creamy notes.

  • Chamucas Diablo Blanco

A tequila bottle with the Devil on it? Well, isn’t that just putting the truth right on the label? I love transparency, and a touch of evil. I’m all about it. As for the taste, it’s earthy with a bit of citrus and black pepper. Some say it’s an acquired taste. But once acquired, it’s a taste that will soon become your favorite tequila.

Blanco is my personal favorite, but you can find all the shades of Chumucas evil at Lee’s Discount Liquor.

  • Partida Elegante

Oh, what do we have here? An “Elegante” tequila? Well isn’t that an oxymoron because the last thing I’m feel at a party flowing with tequila is sophisticated. Unless, in an alternate world, elegant means wast…Happily enhanced.

The aroma is a very interesting blend of mint and toffee and a bit of butter. The taste is so complex, it’s a great tequila for sipping. Pour it around the table at the party and let the conversation flow.

You can find Partida Elegante at Total Wine and More.
