Listen, I’m not a great golfer – matter of fact, I’m awful. But I do know a hole-in-one is huge!  It doesn’t matter how the rest of your group plays, or how many balls hit the sand or wind up in the lake. One ace in the hole is a win for everyone – but three hole in one’s on the same golf trip? I say, buy a lottery ticket!

Three St. Louis women on a Las Vegas trip all returned with a pretty cool, and memorable story. Every year  Carol Cullinaire, Susan Degrandele and Jackie Berez take a women’s trip. This year they ALL aced it golfing!

First up was Carol. She used a six-iron to knock it in from 85-yards away. The 84-year-old bought everyone a drink, and said “This is so much fun, we should do it again.”

Little did she know that her friends would soon follow her. A six-iron from 99 yards away from Susan, and an 87-yard wedge from Jackie both dropped in, and suddenly this girls weekend became a history making event!

“I think anybody that gets a hole-in-one, it’s a super special event. Having it happen when it did with a bunch of really cool women all together, enjoying something we love outside, I think it made it so much more special,” Jackie said. “It was fun getting a hole-in-one but it was even more fun celebrating the other girls and their hole-in-ones. It’s kinda something you’ll never forget.” The ladies trip trip has been an annual get-together for 30 years, and there had only been one hole-in-one prior to this year.

If you don’t know the rule is, with a hole-in-one, you have to buy drinks. In case you’re wondering, Carol spent $112 before tip, Susan dropped $80 and Jackie’s was a little under $150. No doubt it was worth it.

They said each one getting a hole in one was fun, but celebrating with each other was even more fun!

According to Golf Digest, these are some of the best golf courses in Las Vegas. Good luck sinking that hole in one!

  • Shadow Creek

In 2018, the match between Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods kind of fizzled as a pay-per-view event, but Shadow Creek was certainly showcased. Shadow Creek has the reputation of being one of the most expensive courses built in America – a reported $47 million at the time.

  • Reflection Bay Golf Course

A former member of Golf Digest’s 100 Greatest Public Courses, this Jack Nicklaus design is one of the most beautiful golf courses in the country! It sits along the edge of Lake Las Vegas – about 20 miles east of the strip. It features a variety of hole directions, effectively using the natural landscape to create a balance of uphill and downhill shots. The five holes set along the water make for a memorable finish. The course currently ranks among Golf Digest’s Best in Nevada.

Surrounded by barren desert and jagged peaks, there are plenty of risk-reward holes, including the split fairways at the par-5 sixth and the par-4 17th.
