Cher’s Recent Comments on the Rock Hall are Cooler Than Nikki Sixx’s
Cher and Nikki Sixx, on the surface, don’t have a ton in common. However, neither artist thinks too highly of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Cher talked about famously being snubbed by the Rock Hall during a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Clarkson mentions how Cher has had a No. 1 song in each of the past seven decades. While Clarkson marveled at that feat, Cher tells her that the Rolling Stones have also accomplished the same. However, the pop icon mentions that the Stones are in the Rock Hall, but she isn’t.
The studio audience and Clarkson were aghast at that, but Cher took everything in stride. She said, “I wouldn’t be in it now if they gave me a million dollars … They can just go you-know-what-themselves.”

Days later, Sixx took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared his thoughts on the Rock Hall. He wrote, “I think people get too worked up about the RRHF. If you get in, that’s cool, and if not, it’s not a big deal. It’s not some elite club that defines you. It’s an award. None of us hopefully make music just for awards. I do like the idea of jamming with other musicians at the ceremony.”

Sixx shared a similar sentiment back in March. A fan replied to a tweet by the Crue bassist/songwriter saying, “Sixx, it’s complete bullsh-t you guys are not in the Rock & Roll HOF. Those that vote for that are complete a–holes.”
Sixx then retweeted the fan’s comment and added, “People get so worked up. It’s just an award.” He continued, “We’re in it for the music. If stuff gets awarded it’s cool, but it’s not why we’re in a band. It’s all good. Appreciate the support.”
Cher and Sixx do have one unique thing in common: Neither of them has even been nominated for the Rock Hall. Fortunately, they’re in good company here. Keep scrolling to see which other artists have never been nominated for the Rock Hall before.
