Is F1 Driver Carlos Sainz Hosting A ‘Smooth Operator’ Dance Party In Las Vegas?
Is F1 driver Carlos Sainz hosting a dance party in Las Vegas? That’s what it sounds like and it could be incredible!
A 12-hour dance party is set to take place November 22nd-23rd at ALBI Ultra Lounge in the ARIA Resort & Casino. The event will be named after the Smooth Operator himself, and is said to be the first driver-hosted F1 party for fans during the epic Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend.

Formula 1 returning to Las Vegas is a big deal! That’s why everyone seems to be going all out for it–including the drivers themselves! According to MotorSport.com, Andrew Lanzino, who runs MGM Resorts’ citywide event strategy says it will be “unlike any other race of the year” and that they’re “creating a variety of ways for [fans] to have the time of their lives.” Well, there’s no better place to do that than Las Vegas!
The dance party is expected to run for 12 hours and you’ll even have an opportunity to meet Carlos Sainz, himself! However, if you’re planning on meeting him make sure to keep it cool! Maybe enjoy the moment instead of trying to shove a phone in his face. That doesn’t tend to go well and he’s already said that it’s a bit annoying when cameras are on you when you’re trying to have a good time. So, if you want on his good side maybe chat with him and bond instead of trying to get an awkward photo or video. Live, baby! Live!
According to MotorSport.com, MGM Resorts’ 2024 programming also includes the Shoey Bar at the Bellagio, inspired by Daniel Ricciardo. During its debut year, the popular bar was reportedly visited by Eva Longoria, Jeremy Renner, and Mark Wahlberg. Speaking of Mark, he’s really been making his mark (for lack of a better term, honestly) in Sin City since becoming a resident. He even opened up a new restaurant! He seems to be enjoying calling Vegas home. While Ricciardo won’t be racing in Vegas, he will still be represented there at the event. Additionally, F1’s global sponsor, LVMH, has also partnered with the casino to host a Dom Perignon Champagne Lounge in front of the Bellagio Fountains at Terrazza di Sogno. Las Vegas is pumped up and ready for some F1 action!
However, not everyone is excited about the return of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. It can be a headache for local residents and people trying to check out the strip alike. It’s a big event and if you’re not in town specifically for it, it’s understandable how it can be annoying.
