This Company Is Offering An All-Onion ‘Cry Pie’ Pizza For March Madness
The NCAA Tournament is underway and Sports Illustrated reported that zero perfect brackets remain. This comes after the sixteen-seed Fairleigh Dickinson’s surprising win on Friday. DiGiorno wants to help those with an unperfect bracket cry it out with its new “Cry Pie.”
They introduced an all-onion frozen pie, which DiGiorno said was designed “to mask your basketball heartbreak.” The Ohio-based pizza maker created a thin-crust pizza topped with an alfredo-style sauce, mozzarella cheese, and a large amount of caramelized yellow onions, green onions, and red onions.
There’s only one way to get your hands on this oniony treat. You’ll need to enter the DiGiorno’s Cry Pie online giveaway. DiGiorno is accepting entries on DiGiornoCryPie.com until 11:59 p.m. eastern standard time on Monday, April 3. The day of the NCAA Tournament Final. According to the company giveaway rules, they will be giving away about 250 Cry Pies.
The entry form requires information including your name, e-mail, address, and phone number for a shot at the exclusive pizza. No purchase is necessary to enter the giveaway. It’s open to legal residents of the 50 U.S. and D.C. 18 years or older. The full giveaway rules can be found here.
“We’re always looking to push culinary boundaries while still providing the same high-quality, fresh-baked experience people can expect from DiGiorno,” Kimberly Holowiak, a Senior Brand Manager for DiGiorno, said in a statement. “We’ve all seen or experienced the heartbreak that comes with a tough loss during the college basketball championship. We hope our Cry Pies offer people a fun way to engage with the tournament and our brand, no matter who they’re cheering for!”
