Chadwick Boseman, Dr. Dre & More To Receive Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Chadwick Boseman and Dr. Dre are among those who will receive a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star in 2024. According to the press release, 31 entertainers will get their stars in television, film, and sports categories.

"The Committee did an amazing job choosing these very talented people,” said radio personality and selection committee chair Ellen K. "We can’t wait to see each honoree’s reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood’s history with the unveiling of their star on the world’s most famous walkway!"

Boseman will be receiving his star posthumously. The Oscar-nominated actor died in 2020 after a private battle with colon cancer. He was known for his roles in Black Panther, 42, Get On Up, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, and more.

Joining Boseman in the "Motion Pictures" category are: Kevin Feige, Gal Gadot, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Chris Meledandri, Chris Pine, Christina Ricci, and Michelle Yeoh.

Dr. Dre is known for his 1992 classic album The Chronic, for being the co-founder of Death Row Records, for being a member of the Compton-bred rap group N.W.A., and producing for some of the biggest talents in the industry. Joining Dre in the category are: Glen Ballard, Toni Braxton, Def Leppard, Charles Fox, Sammy Hagar, Brandy Norwood, Darius Rucker, and Gwen Stefani.

Sheryl Lee Ralph was also among those chosen to receive a star next year. She uploaded a video to Twitter to express her excitement about the award.

"Wow, I just have to thank God, I have to thank everybody who considered me for this," she said. "I'm overwhelmed. I'm grateful and I'm blessed."

Joining her in the television category are Ken Jeong, Eugene Levy, Mario Lopez, Jim Nantz, Michael Schur, and Kerry Washington. Raúl De Molina, and Lili Estefan, Co-Hosts of the television show, El Gordo y La Flaca will also be awarded.
