If you or people you know are coming to Las Vegas for the holidays, you might want to check out some of these fun events going on at Area 15.

It’s not like we don’t have options when it comes to things to do in Las Vegas during the holiday season. But sometimes you just want to check out something a little different. And that’s pretty much what Area 15 does really well. Different.

Area 15 is an entertainment hub that’s focused on immersive experiences for guests. Besides art installations that you can interact with, the venue offers live entertainment, eateries, and mind-blowing attractions. They also have retail spaces, Meow Wolf’s famous Omega Mart, bars and distilleries. There’s something for everyone. And during the holiday season they are adding lots of attractions and events to get guests into the Christmas spirit.

For the holidays, Area 15 will transform into a Winter Wonderland with lots of entertainment options.

There will be a lot of holiday-inspired events happening at the venue this month. According to their website, there’s an immersive showing of The Nightmare Before Christmas now through December 30, 2023. The Museum Fiasco will have a festive light and sound spectacular now through January 7, 2024. There is a screening of Elf with an accompanying Elf-themed dinner on Sunday, December 3, 2023. And lots more.

If you’re a big fan of the Elf movie, you might want to check out another event besides the aforementioned dinner and movie. There’s a Elf Rave happening Friday, December 1 that promises to be a lot of fun for anyone 18 and older who loves all things whimsical and elfish.

And if you’re a big karaoke nut, throw on that ugly sweater and check out the holiday version of karaoke at Area 15. Karaoke Night – Ugly Sweater Edition is planned for Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Hidden Vegas Pop-Up Bar: Nightmare Before Christmas Theme

The 702 is full of mystery and this hidden Vegas Nightmare Before Christmas pop-up bar is gaining notoriety. Tucked away in cozy Chinatown is a fast-casual Mexican restaurant named Mas Por Favor.

To the tourist eye it looks like a normal Hispanic restaurant that serves great tasting plates but behind the scenes is another story.

The bright pink and white neon letters lure customers in to what looks to be a pirates favorite hang out. The open floor concept features metal chairs, wooden tables, huge décor barrels and five order menus. From first glance, the rustic colored walls with shrubs and the giant painted skull wall art makes the room feel edgy yet modern. Their neon pink “Mas Por Favor” sign makes the perfect boomerang of any Instagram story.

A large white door sits left upon entering the restaurant, leaves guests to believe it’s an entrance for the kitchen quarters but it’s a passage way to an entirely new world. Down a rocky dark hallway, what looks similar to a miner’s workspace, is the road to Halloween Town—Vegas edition.

Jack Skellington, Oogie Boogie and the whole Nightmare Before Christmas crew have encroached the Mexican hotspot. Twinkling orange lights, black and white-stripped umbrellas and a familiar long snouted snake lingers through the air. Oogie Boogie himself sits against the back wall watching eager guests feast on themed bites. The restaurant’s permanent skull and red flower arch ways fit perfectly within the dark fantasy décor. The small details really bring the fantasy to life.

The iconic sharp fanged holiday wreath sits perched guarding the bar for all who dare to order. Certain festive drinks come in ceramic-character cups are ready-to-order!

The menu features Pumpkin King Cheesecake Brulee, Oogie Boogie Dirt Pie, Frogs Breath Rosole and more! Note: they do sell out of their food options so some options may not be available on your visit.

The pop-up bar does take walk ins but they prefer that you make an appointment. The wait times may vary and there is no guarantee that you will get in.
