Everclear Bringing Awesome Line-Up To Vegas Valley
Everclear is heading to the Vegas Valley to perform at Lee’s Family Forum in Henderson. The line-up for the show includes Marcy Playground and Jimmie’s Chicken Shack. Their 2024 tour is in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their fourth album, Songs from an American Movie Vol. One. And with the line-up Everclear is bringing with them, it’s going to be a seriously fun night in Southern Nevada.
Everclear’s founder and lead singer, Art Alexakis, has powered through a lot of band member changes over the years, but he’s still leading the group. He’ll be joined on this tour by Davey French on guitar, Freddy Herrera on bass, and Brian Nolan on drums.
Two Bands Opening For Everclear In Henderson
Kicking things off for the night at Lee’s Family Forum will be two opening acts. Jimmie’s Chicken Shack has been playing together for 25 years and are best known for their 1996 hit “High” and their 1999 hit “Do Right”. Both songs that will get the crowd going with their rowdy alternative rock energy.
The second opening act is Marcy Playground. Best known for their 1997 hit “Sex and Candy”. Which spent 15 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. They also saw success with their 1999 single “It’s Saturday”, which went to No. 23 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart.
Everclear Headlining The Show
The energy will be pumping after Jimmie’s Chicken Shack and Marcy Playground warm up the crowd for Everclear. They will take the stage as the night’s headliners, bringing the nostalgia of the 90’s with their setlist. Everclear’s recent setlists have started off with their hits “So Much For The Afterglow”, “Everything To Everyone”, “Heroine Girl” and their 1997 single “Father of Mine”.
Then Everclear has brought lesser known hits to the stage, including “Nervous and Weird”, “Sunflowers”, “The Twistinside” and “Amphetamine”. The band has continued in past shows with a full setlist, playing “Wonderful”, Strawberry”, “AM Radio” and “Local God”. And, of course, their 1997 hit “I Will Buy You A New Life”.
Everclear has wrapped up their past shows with their hit “Summerland”, a cover of the Vaseline’s “Molly’s Lips” and their 1995 hit “Santa Monica”. Which reached No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart in spite of it never being released as a single. It also spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart in 1996.
With three talented, high-energy bands like these guys, this is going to be one night full of fun, good vibes and a healthy dose of nostalgia. The show is on September 21 at 7 p.m. with tickets starting at $42.
