Old Dog, New Venue: Desert Dogs Moving To Lee’s Family Forum
If you haven’t been to a Las Vegas Desert Dogs game, let us tell you: it is a frickin’ blast. It’s hockey meets football meets basketball somehow. Hard hitting action, the in-arena experience is outstanding and it is a fun night out with the family! The team announced that next season they are headed to the newly renamed Lee’s Family Forum in Henderson, and we are here for the Desert Dogs moving.
Las Vegas Desert Dogs Moving To Henderson
The worst part of the fan experience of a Las Vegas Desert Dogs game is the worst part of going to any game on or near the Las Vegas Strip: the traffic. Once you get there, it is an absolute blast! But for anyone that has had to park at the Luxor because Mandalay Bay’s parking garage was too slammed to get into, you know Michelob Ultra Arena has some drawbacks.
After all, all you wanted to do was take your family out for a fun (and relatively inexpensive) night out. Well, that will be changing with the 2024-25 season.
With the Desert Dogs moving to Lee’s Family Forum, that leaves only the “major leagues” (NHL, WNBA, NFL) around the Strip corridor, and the Forum being the home of the smaller leagues that offer a lot more bang for a family’s buck.
They’ll Have Some Company At The Forum
The Las Vegas Desert Dogs will be joining the Henderson Silver Knights, Vegas Knight Hawks and the newly launched female volleyball team the Vegas Thrill. Some dates opened up as of late by the departure of the G League Ignite, so the Desert Dogs entering a new pound for nine home games a year will help keep the venue from being vacant throughout the year.
If you’re interested in season tickets for the new season, they’d probably love to hear from you.
