World Series of Poker Sets 2025 Championship Dates for Las Vegas Strip with Over 100 Events
The 2025 series will feature over 100 bracelet events, beating 2024’s 99 events. CEO Ty Stewart told WSOP.com: “Each year allows us to refine further and improve the WSOP offering, and 2025 will be no exception. Expect the biggest poker events on the planet, the best action, and the most intense competition as we once again welcome tens of thousands of poker enthusiasts eager to experience the magic of the WSOP.”
The Main Event’s $10,000 buy-in remains unchanged since Benny Binion launched the tournament in 1970. Winners often take home massive prizes exceeding eight figures.
In a significant move, GGPoker bought the WSOP from Caesars Entertainment for $500 million in 2023. This amount was way more than the $44.3 million Caesars paid when they purchased both the tournament and Binion’s Horseshoe 19 years earlier. However, Caesars keeps hosting rights through 2044.
The 56th annual WSOP marks the fourth year in a row the Strip locations have hosted poker’s biggest event. Stewart anticipates tens of thousands of poker fans will attend. WSOP’s recent Paradise Festival in the Bahamas generated $13 million in revenue, giving promise that the Vegas event will follow suit.
The complete Vegas WSOP schedule comes out in early 2025, bringing back popular events like Mystery Millions and Millionaire Maker.
