Vegas Golden Knights Goalie Hill Gets 17 Wins in First 25 Starts, Added to Team Canada
Star goalie for the Vegas Golden Knights, Adin Hill, has picked up 17 wins while giving up 63 goals through his first 25 starts this season. His impressive play in net keeps Vegas within reach of the NHL’s top spot.
After an amazing week in December where he put up a near-perfect .971 save percentage, Hill earned the NHL’s third star honors. Through 25 games, he’s maintained a solid 2.58 goals-against average while saving 90.4% of shots faced.
Hill just shut out Edmonton with 28 saves and held off Vancouver by making 19 saves in a close 3-1 win. These performances came right after Team Canada picked him for their roster for February’s 4 Nations Face-Off tournament.
“After fellow goalie Logan Thompson was traded to the Washington Capitals over the off season, Hill has stepped up as the team’s unquestioned top netminder,” reports Nick Walters at KTVN Las Vegas. Hill proved his capabilities during the 2023 Stanley Cup.
Since coming back from the break, Golden Knights coaches have been sharing goalie time between Hill and teammate Samsonov. Even without back-to-back games coming up, this smart approach keeps both goalies rested.
Vegas is thriving with Hill’s reliable goaltending. He’s stayed healthy through the season’s halfway point, helping drive the Golden Knights’ success.
