The Best Hot Dogs in Las Vegas, Hands (& Paws) Down
We are so lucky to live in Las Vegas. From Lake Mead to the Red Rock mountains and all the strip clubs in between, there’s so much to love. The best in entertainment, sporting events and most of all, some of the best culinary experiences on the planet. Think about it, some of the best chefs in the world have restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip. Gordon Ramsey, Giada, Mark Wahlberg (What? Is he not a chef, as well as an actor? Oh, well Wahlburgers is still damn good). But if you’re looking on the Las Vegas Strip for the best hot dogs, you’re in the wrong place.
Whether it be Mexican, Sushi or a hamburger, we have so many gourmet options on Las Vegas Blvd. But guess what? We have some amazing eating joints off-strip too. No, not all of them are gourmet, but that’s okay. I’m not a fancy girl. In fact, I’m down home and so is Steamie Weenie. They have the best hot dogs in Vegas, in my humble opinion.
The Best Hot Dogs In Las Vegas
Steamie Weenie is located in a basic strip mall in Henderson. Their signage is very unassuming, unless you love hot dogs and Dachshunds (that logo is adorable). The place itself is small yet feels like a little hug from a friend. And the menu is as unpredictable as a Dachshund’s personality!

Dogs Worth Ordering
New York Hot Dog Lovers Rejoice! This one is for real.
The Push Cart
This dog is New York style dog with brown mustard, sauerkraut and Sabrett’s red onion sauce. This bad boy is a standard in New York. Trust me, New Yorkers are picky about their Push Carts too. I know. I live with a Bronx native and he was very skeptical of the version Steamie had to offer. But when is was all said and done, after he wiped the mustard off his chin, the Push Cart got the Big thumbs Up! So, my New Yorker friends, you’re in luck. Steamie Weenie has your back. Yankees still suck though!
This Chicago Dog isn’t full of hot wind.
The Windy City
This hot dog is Chicago-style dog with pickle, tomato, relish, onion, yellow mustard, sport peppers, and celery salt. It’s almost all five food groups into one handheld bun of love. And it’s one of my favorites. I’ve done the Chicago dogs in town as well as in the Windy City itself. And this is one of the freshest dogs I’ve ever had. It’s almost like you’re eating healthy, but of course you’re not (Obviously, its a hot dog, not a bowl of spinach).
Award-Winning Hot Dogs Too.
The Savage
This hot dog lives up to its name. The Savage is a bacon-wrapped dog with brown mustard, grilled onions, ranch, and bleu cheese crumble. It’s very good. So good, in fact, it was named the “Best Sausage Sandwich In America” in 2017 by Restaurant Hospitality Magazine.
The Best Hot Dog Ever!
PBB&JJ
And now for my favorite. A bacon-wrapped dog with peanut butter and jalapeño jelly. Oh, for some it sounds crazy. For others, it sounds like heaven in a bun. And they’re both right!
This dog has sweet, savory and a touch of spice all wrapped up into one delicious treat. But for me, its not just how incredibly tasty this dog is. It’s the essence of being rebellious that I love the most. When I tell people I eat peanut butter hot dogs, they look at me like I’m a crazy bad ass…or just crazy I guess. All the same, whenever I take someone to Steamie Weeenie, I try to get them to buy one. Every time they choose differently. Then they take a bit of mine and, next thing I know, they are at the counter ordering the PBB & JJ. Peanut butter and jelly, mixed with a hot dog. It’s like the most American thing you could ever do.
Side Dishes For Your Favorite Dog
Steamie Weenie isn’t just dogs. They have a all kinds of goodies to compliment the main dishes. Loaded tater tots, fried pickles and doggy style tots ( I know. I know. Pervert. I love the way you think). And they have a fridge full of fun drinks to wash it all down with. From old school cream sodas and root beers to your basic Orange Crush, Steamie has the liquid goods as well.
Wrapping up the Dog
Sure, we have a lot of options when it comes to getting hot dogs in Las Vegas, but this place is the best. It’s my favorite because they show no fear in creating off-the-wall dogs. Yet, they still put it the attention to detail when it comes to the hot dogs we’ve come to love, no matter what part of the country you’re from. I highly advise giving Steamie Weenie a shot the next time you are craving a hot dog.
And when you stop by, tell them Carlota sent you (and that he needs to name a dog after me).
