While Dutch Bros serves a wide variety of drinks to cater to any palate or preference, their menu was lacking something. That something was a variety of drinks for people looking to consume more protein in their day to day diet. Now, News 3 reports that local Las Vegas Dutch Bros locations have begun serving two new delicious drinks that contain 20 grams of protein and no added sugar. Healthy Dutch Bros protein coffee? Yes please!

Two Amazing Flavors To Choose From

There are two flavors for protein-coffee lovers to choose from: the Salted Caramel Protein Latte and the Salted Caramel Protein Mocha. The Salted Caramel Protein Latte includes salted caramel flavor, espresso, protein milk, and caramel drizzle on top. The Salted Caramel Protein Mocha is very similar, including salted caramel flavor, espresso, chocolate sauce, protein milk, and caramel drizzle as well. While the names and ingredients might share a resemblance, the drinks offer two starkly different tastes, perfect for those looking to get their morning coffee and protein through a variety of flavors.

All Dutch Bros locations have begun serving the new Salted Caramel Protein Latte and the Salted Caramel Protein Mocha and will continue to do so through Thursday, February 29th. The other and less common coffee beans, Liberica and Excelsa, have different flavor notes and are grown in Africa and Asia.

According to CoffeeAffection, Liberica beans “has a controversial and polarizing reputation for wild inconsistency. Those who’ve tried this rare variety either love it or hate it.”

Some have described the flavor as nutty, woody and “burnt,” with a backbite.

Excelsa beans have qualities that are a mixture of light and dark roast traits. These beans have tart and fruity flavors with a lighter aroma. Yet, these beans still have a depth of flavor.
