Las Vegas Strip Continues To Evolve As Margaritaville To Close For Good
The Las Vegas Strip continues to evolve. If you’ve been in this city for any length of time, you’ve seen tremendous changes on this world-famous street. Now, we bid a sad farewell to an iconic landmark when Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville closes for good this spring.
Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Restaurant Closes For Good This Spring
Thousands of visitors to Las Vegas have enjoyed great meals and great times at this iconic restaurant. After all, Margaritaville has occupied prime real estate at the front of the Flamingo Hotel & Casino for 20 years.
However, if there’s one thing we know, our city keeps changing to attract more visitors. So, Caesars Entertainment will be closing Margaritaville to make room for some new dining and partying destinations.
In fact, according to an article by Johnathan L. Wright on ReviewJournal.com, Monday, April 15th will be the final day to order a “Cheeseburger In Paradise.” Jimmy Buffett’s kick-back, relaxed, “island lifestyle” restaurant and bar will be serving up its final award-winning margarita that night.
As you’re already aware, this legendary performer and entrepreneur passed away on September 1st last year. But his legacy survives. There are still plenty of Margaritaville restaurants all over the world. You can visit one in New Orleans, Nashville, Orlando, The Bahamas, and Jamaica, just to name a few.
In addition, you can still order Buffett’s Land Shark Lager beer at many bars and taverns around the world. Then, there are the casino and entertainment complexes featuring the Jimmy Buffet inspired theme in Atlantic City and Biloxi.
So, Parrotheads, even though you’ll miss Margaritaville on the Las Vegas Strip, there’s still plenty of Jimmy Buffett all over the globe.
What’s Next For The Flamingo Hotel & Casino?
With this in mind, we’re wondering what will take the place of Margaritaville? As you might expect, more celebrity restaurants. What else, right?
According to Wright’s article, Caesars Entertainment is planning to open two such dining destinations this coming summer. As a matter of fact, plans are in the works for a Pinky’s by Vanderpump, and Gordon Ramsey Burger at The Flamingo. At this time, they’re set to open in August 2024.
