Battle For Vegas: Team Eichel Vs Team Cole In Softball Showdown
Former Vegas Golden Knights forward, and original “Misfit,” Reilly Smith, started the Battle for Vegas softball showdown in 2019. Now in its fifth year, you can take the family to catch all the action and support some great charities in the process.
Here’s What You Need To Know About The Battle For Vegas Charity Softball Game
Now that Reilly Smith is no longer with the Golden Knights, forward Jack Eichel hosts the event. It will take place this Saturday, July 13, at Las Vegas Ballpark in Summerlin. If you’ve never been there, it’s located very close to the 215 Beltway at 1650 South Pavilion Center Drive, Las Vegas, 89135.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. Then, there will be an exciting Home Run Derby which starts at 7 p.m. The actual Battle for Vegas softball game will begin at 8 p.m. Following the game, there will be an awesome fireworks display presented by Century Gaming Technologies.

Proceeds from this year’s Battle for Vegas softball showdown will benefit the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, which supports Best Buddies Nevada and other local non-profit organizations.
Well-Known Athletes And Celebrities Play In The Battle For Vegas Game
Since Vegas Golden Knights star Jack Eichel is hosting this year’s event, it makes sense that he is one of the team captains. This year, Team Eichel includes well-known current and former Golden Knights players including Zach Whitecloud, Keegan Kolesar, Nic Hague, Brendon Brisson, Adin Hill, Ryan Reaves, and Logan Thompson. Terrence Long, former Athletics Major League Baseball player and Ricky White from UNLV will also be joining Team Eichel on the diamond.
A.J. Cole of the Las Vegas Raiders will captain the other team in this year’s Battle for Vegas charity softball showdown. He’s bringing along some well-known friends including current Raiders players Zamir White, Daniel Carlson, Alexander Mattison, Dylan Parham, Tre’von Moehrig, Jakorian Bennett, and Thayer Munford, Jr. Former Athletics players Jose and Ozzie Canseco will also be playing for Team Cole.
