Golden Knights Win Another ‘Stanley’ And Bring A New Team To Nevada
Congratulations to the Vegas Golden Knights organization. They’ve earned another “Stanley” award from the National Hockey League for Game Presentation. That’s according to an article on the Vegas Golden Knights’ website on NHL.com.
Vegas Golden Knights Win ‘Stanley’ For League’s Best Game Presentation
If you’ve never been to a Vegas Golden Knights game at T-Mobile Arena, you’ve never really experienced our home team’s amazing game presentation. In fact, other players and management teams from around the National Hockey League always seem to marvel at the entertainment value that the Golden Knights bring their fans.
I’m sure you must have watched the game presentation on television when catching a Vegas Golden Knights game on the tube. But actually being at T-Mobile Arena in person brings an added entertainment value to the Golden Knights’ amazing game presentation.
First of all, the sound is the best I’ve ever heard in any NHL arena, and I’ve been to games at Madison Square Garden in New York City and Staples Center (now Crypto.com Arena) in Los Angeles.
In addition, the laser light shows on the ice during the pregame entertainment and between periods is pretty spectacular. Furthermore, anytime the action on the ice stops, there’s always something fun to watch on the jumbotron hanging from the rafters in the middle of T-Mobile Arena.
Then there’s the drumline, the cheerleaders, Chance the Mascot, and the awesome people-watching when you’re at the game. Certainly, a well-earned acknowledgement. Congratulations again to the Vegas Golden Knights for winning the “Stanley” for best Game Presentation for the third time in the four years it’s been awarded.
Vegas Golden Knights Bring A New Hockey Team To Nevada
But wait, there’s more Vegas Golden Knights news! You already know the Henderson Silver Knights are the VGK’s American Hockey League affiliate. Now, they’ve recently signed an agreement with the Tahoe Knight Monsters to become the Golden Knights’ ECHL affiliate. That’s according to an article on the Vegas Golden Knights’ website on NHL.com.
The ECHL is the minor hockey league one rung below the AHL. So prospective players for the Vegas Golden Knights may start with the new Tahoe Knight Monsters. If their play warrants it, they may move up to the Henderson Silver Knights in the AHL. A player’s ultimate goal would be to make the NHL team, the Vegas Golden Knights.
If you’ve lived in Las Vegas for any length of time, you may remember the Las Vegas Wranglers minor league hockey team which played their home games in the Orleans Arena between 2003 and 2014. They played in the ECHL before we had a National Hockey League team in town.
The Golden Knights were previously affiliated with the ECHL’s Savannah Ghost Pirates. The new team will play their home games in the Tahoe Blue Event Center in Stateline, Nevada beginning this fall (2024).
